Day 115- Running Late

I was going to make (and eat) breakfast before writing this, so I could say I'd at least had *something* healthy to eat, but time got away from me.

So here I am, hungry, admitting to eating only chips yesterday. Chips that were left-over, so not even a full bag. I didn't even make it to the store.

I gotta say, as an example of "healthy budget eating", yesterday was full on fail.

I seem to spend more time on here almost apologizing for not cooking, or not really eating, or something. It's kinda goofy. I still want the broccoli. I want soy milk too, but it doesn't last. I really just want it so I can make mayo, but I don't have guar gum, so I don't know how that's going to work. I'm doing my best to talk myself out of blowing the whole month's money on frozen vegan meat balls, store bought sauce, and bread I didn't have to cook myself.

I'll let you know how that goes.

I'm getting canned tomatoes, tho. I *want* them. And maybe a small thing of olives.

Hmmm... I dunno. I'll think about what I want to eat (that *isn't* nate's meatless meatballs) and make a list. That way at least I'll be organized.

Now, sweet potatoes, onions, and garlic are calling my name. I'm going to roast them before the house heats up too much. Roommates are asleep, they shouldn't notice, anyway.

  1. I think people are still impressed that you are even trying to do this, and coming remotely close. Or at least I am.

I know you can make your own granola bars - I don't know how much that would cost but that's my husbands and I's fix for any ill planned food need. But ours are from the store, so scuse me if I am sounding coy.
